Porcelain Dental Crowns And Bridges

Porcelain dental crowns or caps are used to rebuild and reconstruct heavily filled or broken teeth. Unlike veneers, they encapsulate the whole tooth. The porcelains used are the same as in veneers so not only do they enhance tooth strength but because they are pure porcelain give excellent cosmetic results. Porcelain dental bridges are a series or crowns joined together to replace missing teeth, using the finest ceramic materials. Bridges are supported by crowns either side of the missing teeth. Bridgework offers an alternative to dentures or implants.

Before
After

Before porcelain veneers were available porcelain crowns were used to repair chipped and broken teeth. Often those crowns and bridges were made with a metal base which meant that there would often be a tell-tale grey line around the gum. This grey line is unsightly and nowadays we can make crowns that are made totally of porcelain which means that you would never get that line around the gum.

If you have old crowns or caps that need to be replaced you can rest assured that the new all porcelain crowns we create will look like natural teeth. You cannot replace a crown with a veneer as the tooth will have been reduced too much to support a veneer but we can make the end result look completely realistic.

The porcelain dental bridgework we create will also look like real teeth emerging from the gum so that you can have a very natural looking result to replace the missing teeth you have.
